| Bio: | NAME: John Constantine FANDOM: Constantine (Film) AGE: 35 ALIGNMENT: Good Why Good?: As soldier for God, John believed his acts were right, but the angel Gabriel claimed them to be selfish since all the things that he had done in the name of 'God' was an attempt to get back into his good graces so he could gain entrance into Heaven. But in the end, when it came down to preventing the son of Satan from crossing over into this world, Constantine gave up his own life, the 'Ultimate Sacrifice' to do it. With Satan squeeing for joy at the thought of owning the one soul he personally came to earth to collect, he was denied when God deemed Constantine worthy after Satan stopped Memmon and God sent John to Heaven. However, after a lovely flipping of the middle finger to Satan, the Morning Star prevented his ascention and tore out his Lung Cancer. Saving his life. Though he is not the dashing superhero type with the killer smile, cleft chin, twinkle in his eye or a ten gallon hat to tip to the 'ma'ams.' John is or was, a chain smoker with an affinity for foul language especially towards Halfbreeds of the demon persuation and adores flicking them off. His coat does billow just right when he moves and currently chews gum to kick his niccatine addiction. Born with ability to see what others cannot, the world of heaven and hell, John steadily became traumatized by both the inner workings of his mind and the behavoir of his parents thinking something was wrong with their child. From an early age, around fifteen, John took on a distructive path of smoking thirty ciggerates a day which led him to be victimized twice by lung cancer (both he overcame). And at the age of seventeen, John committed suicide by slitting his wrists. Though he was saved by the parametics, John had been labeled 'legally dead' for two minutes, giving a brief glimpse of hell before coming being revived. Those two short minutes changed John in two ways. It made him damned to eternity in Hell and also put him on the path towards redemption. Though crooked for some time, his ultimate desire was to never return to the burning inferno. Sadly though, as mentioned above, for the longest time, John's path to redemptiion, as quoted by the earth bound angel Gabriel, his acts were all for selfish reason. That god wanted sacrifice and by assisting a determined police officer finding out the truth about her twin sister's apparent sucide, and the death of three of his closest friends, his apprentice, priest friend with the ability to hear voices of the dead and an inventor/researcher who could aquire near impossible religious and spiritual artifacts, John had discovered the Memmon, the son of Satan, was trying to step onto earth with Divine help. Assisted by Gabriel, the Spear of Destiny which was found in Mexico and the twin sister of a powerful Medium, Memmon almost succeeded, but Satan stepped in whilst collecting John's soul after a second suicide. As sad above, Satan never got to collect John's soul and nor was God. John was given another chance and with his cancer cured, he walked a much better path. Though he didn't smoke and didn't get the girl at the end, John was still and is, dedicated to ridding the earth of the Half-breeds that influence mankin. | |||||||||
